Originally from Peoria, Arizona, Emma Welch-Murphy is thankful she landed a spot during Game Informer’s summer intern program since Minnesota recently faced a very harsh winter. Her relationship with gaming kicked off innocently enough with Barbie video games as a child. Even though she outgrew Barbies, her love for video games and its culture continues. You can usually find her playing any game with character creation or role-playing elements such as Skyrim, the Dragon Age Series, or Kingdoms of Amalur.
